We were late getting in because of a flat tire. We called to let them know, and they stayed open to show us to our site. Wi-Fi and cable TV both worked very well. Laundry room was spotless, and even included an iron (with distilled water) and ironing board. Very friendly people in the office. It's little confusing to come to, the first time in the dark, but it's close to stores and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
We love amenities: Wi-Fi, sewer, cable, etc. This campground lacked them, but we liked it anyway. We got a site where we could see the golf course, and we had all the room in the world. We are golfers, so we used the 'stay and play' on the 2nd night. There is a winery close-by with wonderful food. And Conneaut is a fun town to visit also. Hosts are friendly and helpful.
We had a very bad experience at this park. We had reserved a site with full hook-ups at least 2 months prior to arriving. When we got there, the place was packed with people from the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Albuquerque. They did honor our reservation, but put us in a very small site with no cable, no sewer, and too far away to pick up the Wi-Fi. They told us in the office that our antenna would work , but we couldn't pick up anything. I could understand this, if we came in without a reservation, but that was not the case. We will not stay at this park again.
This rate was part of a package to take the train to the Grand Canyon. Sites were level, easy in and out. All services worked perfectly. We had to leave a day early because weather predictions were for 80 mph winds and 20 degrees in the direction we were heading. The person at the desk, not only encouraged us to get out of there ahead of the storm, but refunded our prepaid rent for the one night.
The owners were super-friendly and did all they could do acquaint us with the area. They are great ambassadors for Jamaica Beach. When we arrived they told us about a Valentines dinner they were having. It was a good way to meet some of the other campers and a reasonable price per meal ($10 for t-bone steak dinner). The weather was bad when we were there, so I appreciated the work-out room, where I could get some exercise. Only drawback is that sites were not all that private. If you don't mind wide-open area, it's a great park.
